Andrea Sherman, PhD. is a gerontologist, choreographer, and ritualist, and has been teaching for more than 25 years. She is the President of Transitional Keys, taught at NYU College of Nursing for more than 10 years, and is on the Learn Leadership Council of the American Society on Aging. She holds a doctorate in Dance and Gerontology and is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and the Gerontological Society of America. Currently she is teaching interdisciplinary health care professionals in a new program called: Transforming Long Term Care through Ritual. She has led rituals that span the lifecycle from birth to dying and is Co-Founder and author of Transitional Keys.
